Dear authors and readers! We are happy to greet you in a new academic year.

Some of the articles of a new issue are devoted to methodological problems. The actively developing process of standardization is the tendency of current educational modernization. However, both in theory and practice we view a lot of different approaches. In one of the articles this problem is discussed in the context of the field approach. Readers interested in educational philosophy will find speculations on common challenges and ways of interactions of modern educational philosophy and philosophic anthropology in this issue of the journal. Non-standard approach to quality assessment in education for development both reproductive and creative cognitive activities certainly deserves your attention. One of the trends of modern education is blended learning, and one of the articles deals with this problem. It reveals the essence of blended learning with regard to the profilisation process in the system of secondary education and describes the model for its realization.  

The article of our colleague from abroad familiarizes the readers with special aspects of teaching social workers in the system of vocational education and educational technologies they use in Vietnam. The articles dealing with the ecologic-pedagogical issues touch upon three problems of modern education: formation of ecological culture, upbringing the feeling of responsibility as the most important personal quality of a modern person, and functioning of children associations.   

A number of articles addresses the problem of educational management. The issues of the project activities are still being discussed. For instance, the project method is presented as a means of value-meaningful self-definition for future teachers. The model of interaction of a basic university and lyceum in project activities performance is proved.   The discussion on the assessment problem of educational institutions is going on; the measurement of innovation in education based on proven practice is suggested.

The labor market study is directly relating to change prognosis in the sphere of professional education and leads to its reprofiling. In consideration with this fact, the importance of the present and the future research of education system in the Arctic regions  is beyond any doubts. The ideas of follow-up and consultancy through the whole life (in the previous issue the experience of Finland was reviewed) is continued. The results of career representations of students with different levels of professional self-determination are presented in one of the articles.
