Abstract: this article attempts to identify the essence of blended learning in relation to the process of profiling the system of secondary general education. The definitions of such concepts as «profile education», «profilization», «blended learning» are specified. An assessment of blended learning opportunities as a tool to influence the profiling process is given. The results of surveys carried out among students, their parents and teachers regarding their relationship to the use of blended learning technologies in secondary school are presented. The main purpose of surveys is to identify the willingness of high school students to master the material in the framework of specialized classes based on blended learning technologies, as well as the use of blended learning technologies in the educational process. The potential of distance learning technologies is evaluated as one of the elements of blended learning. In particular, we are talking about the possibility of using distance learning systems as a part of a profile school, or as they are also called learning management systems.
