Abstract: the article considers one of the approaches to ensuring the continuous professional development of teachers of additional education from remote territories of the region – in the form of internships. The author clarifies the definition of the concept of an internship site in relation to educational organizations of additional education, interpreting it as a temporary structure demonstrating high educational results of students and successful experience of teachers in a certain direction. The mechanisms of competitive selection for the status of regional internship sites and the implementation of programs providing advanced acquaintance with new methods and technologies in all six areas of additional education are presented.
