Abstract: the article made an attempt to present modern comprehension of the concept of methodical competence as a combination of a number of methodical competencies involving meaningful, procedural and appraisal aspects related to reinstatement of traditions and innovation inclusion in educational practice. This is primarily questionable competence i. e. the teacher's ability to moderate smart questions on the part of students. Secondly, it is the environment competence e.g. the ability to organize the smart educational environment creating conditions for achieving the planned educational results. Third, digital competence as a skill to make the best possible use of digital technologies in the organization of the educational process of subject education. Finally, scientific competence as an ability to use the results of recent research in educational practice.
