scientific discovery		 Abstract: The aim of this article is to consider the role of the personal knowledge in the scientific activity and education. Here is represented the classification of the knowledge: knowledge as the skill, knowledge as science, knowledge as the belief. It is claimed that to consider the knowledge as the belief isolated from other forms of knowledge is a false way. The author represents some generalizations characterizing the M. Polany’s concept “personal knowledge”. The procedure of the emergence of the problem that depends of the personal choice of the researcher is of important meaning. The most adequate concept that characterizes the pre-problem stage of the scientific research is the concept of uncertainty. It is remarked that it is false to use the concept of uncertainty for the characteristic of the stage only of the decision of the problem. The analysis of the education in the context of the personal knowledge allows to open a new aspect of the concept “uncertainty”. The situation, when a pupil compares his knowledge with more thorough and profound knowledge, which his teacher has, he can characterize his own knowledge as inaccurate and uncertain.
